Testing your pet's urine for protein, blood, and pH can provide important information about their overall health status.

Protein in the urine, also known as proteinuria, can indicate kidney issues or other systemic conditions.

Blood in the urine can be a sign of urinary tract issues, bladder stones, or kidney stone issues.

Specific Gravity measurements in the urine can also indicate various conditions such as urinary tract issues, kidney stones, and metabolic imbalances.

Usually an imbalance of fluids in your urine can be simple things, but can range to much more difficult situations. Detecting these issues early on can lead to timely intervention and treatment, which can significantly improve the outcome for your pet. Therefore, testing your pet's urine for protein, blood, and pH is a good idea to help ensure their health and well-being.

1) Remove one strip and hold the non-colored end.

2) Place colored end of strip into urine mid-stream or into a sample cup for 1-2 sec.

3) Shake off excess urine and wait 45-60 seconds for color changing. (Depending on the test you are looking at)

4) Compare the test strip results to the color chart.

Dip the test strip into urine or Urinate directly on the strip and read the results. Compare the color change of the reagent pads to the corresponding color chart on the bottle label. Make sure to read the test once the proper time has passed so you don’t get an improper reading.
